The family room was very big which was fantastic. The bath had a jacuzzy function which we all enjoyed. It was clean enough although could be cleaner. All staff were very friendly. If I could improve something it would be to have a leaflet in the room to mention the Wi-Fi password and breakfast times etc again. Other than that we enjoyed our stay a lot.

We were delighted with the large family room and the breakfast was lovely. Location is very good for beaches. The highlight is the staff who were just lovely throughout the whole stay. Thank you all

Emma scored 5 / 5 on 20/09/2016

Lovely hotel, good location and lots to do nearby. Food in the bar was amazing, great choice, big portions and very reasonably priced. The lady in the bar who served us was a gem, so friendly, chatted to my children and made us all feel welcome. Family rooms are a great size and spotless. Would definitely recommend and will be returning myself.

An enjoyable family break, staff were welcoming and friendly! Just two small points, rooms need a good dusting, a lot of cobwebs. Also hotel is on the main road, you need to keep an eye on the kids all the time!!!!

Derran scored 5 / 5 on 29/06/2016

We spent three nights here and everything was first class. The welcome at reception was warm and our room was huge with a very big bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was a trouble to them. The food in the bar was very good and great value. Even though they were very busy there wasn't any delay. The breakfast was freshly cooked and anything we asked for we got with a smile. We will be back again.

Only spent one night here early in September. The staff were very pleasant and the meal we had in the bar was excellent. The room was huge and the bed was very comfy. The only negative was the noise from the function room below but having said that it stopped shortly after twelve. There was just a lovely feel about the place when you walked in and we will definitely be back for a longer stay.

We very much enjoyed our 4 days at Sean Ogs Hotel-The staff were excellent and attentive-breakfast from 9 to 12 was relaxing-the food served in the bar was very good , well priced and varied- the special offer of a meal for 2 with wine was really good value at E45.00-The bedroom was very bright and spacious and well maintained-we enjoyed our stay and would go back- Thanks-Sean and Mary Meehan

Staff were helpful and friendly. The food was of a very high standard, served quickly amid a very busy restaurant. Nice atmosphere in the bar area.. The room was clean and tidy but a little bit cold and the air con was acting up! The bathroom was probably the lowest point. Toilet roll dispensers like in pub toilets, some paneling exposed at the bottom of the sink unit and the shower head and water pressure weren't great. Overall though, it was a pleasant stay.

Wow what a great place!! We went for our 1st night away with our 4week old and nothing was too troublesome. Staff were excellent, rarely do u find staff who enjoy their jobs or at least give off that impression. We were given a beautiful big room with loads of light, bar was lively and very family friendly. Food was excellent and great value for the stay. Only minutes away from a gorgeously long beach. We are already planning our return visit with extended family to use the cottages :) Thanks Sean Ógs.

Hazel scored 1 / 5 on 23/06/2011

The room was nice and the receptionist we eventually met on Monday morning was pleasant and very good at her job. It was a pity we did not meet her when we checked in as I think this would have made a big difference to our stay. The choice of food on the dinner menu is very poor and the quality even worse. Our dinners were smothered in instant gravy and we could taste nothing else. The service was some of the worse we have ever encountered. We waited 20 minutes to be served despite the fact that the place was nowhere near full and there were three staff serving. We were told that we could not chose from the a la carte menu and pay the difference and that what was on the lidl menu was all we could have. We were not given the option of tea or coffee. Breakfast service was just as bad with the barman shouting at us from behind the bar 'What can I get you'. He only offered us two options for breakfast - cereal and juice or full irish - and that was after we asked him what our options were. When the next couple came in he proceeded to serve them at their table and offer them menus. Although we had booked two nights we checked out as soon as we finished breakfast. What was to be the only holiday we would have this year was not a pleasant experience.

Vicki scored 5 / 5 on 19/04/2011

We booked this hotel as we heard it had a great reputation and it lived up to its name, the hotel room was lovely and the staff were fantastic. The food in the restaraunt was out of this world and the craic was ninety with Mary on the Saturday night she is the local singer with a terrific voice. Morriscastle is a five minute drive and what a beach, what views. I will be returning again as we had a great time.

Dee scored 5 / 5 on 19/04/2011

hotel was clean and had modern rooms. bar was well laid out and had a flat screen tv to watch the rugby match!!!!. dinner and breakfast were nice. not great options on the dinner menu but we found something to our liking. food all round was of a good standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful in particular the receptionist. i would have no hesitation in returning again or recommending to others. brilliant value. i think u would find it very difficult to beat this on value. well done and thank you

hi I stayed in sean ogs for 2 nites march 2011 (fri +sat) bedrooms spacious but i found de bathroom cold ,food was good but no entainment on either nights was disappointing staff were friendly but i thought breakfast starting at 9am a tad late i would make a return trip in the summer season

Liz scored 4 / 5 on 01/03/2011

The hotel is beautiful. The food and drink is first class. All the staff are friendly and very helpful which is why we went back to stay at Sean Og's but this was the first time we stayed on a Lidl break there. The only problem we found was that there was no main course's on the Lidl menu that I liked, my husband had no problem picking something from the lidl menu which he thourghly enjoyed but I had to ask could I have something from the normal menu which the staff kindly allowed me to do so. This is the only reason that I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5. We will be back to stay at Sean Og's.

Jonny scored 3 / 5 on 15/02/2011

Sean Ogs is a very clean and Friendly place to stay. The staff were more than friendly and the food was amazing. The main bar was very cold on sat night because no fire was lit. It got so cold other customers had their jackets on. I approached the bar man to tell him an dhe kindly lit the fire. Over all a pleasant stay

Shane scored 4 / 5 on 06/09/2010

Super hotel, room fabulous, food define, staff lovely couldn't do enough. We will book this hotel again no questions asked. Why would you want 2 go abroad when you have hotels like this and the long golden sandy beaches close by. Great value 4 money through Lidl breaks just when you need it.

Excellent hotel. Really nice hotel and staff excellent. DInner was nice and we got our own private snug. Really close to the village of Kilmuckridge and the hotel turns into a real country night club at night!! The breakfst was not up to much but I wouldnt fault the place for that. Well worth a visit on the Lidl Breaks!!
