Nice, friendly and helpful staff. We needed to move rooms as the one we were in was a bit noisy and this was taken care of very efficently. Room was clean, cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was nice. Slight issue there was not enough of a choice for vegatarians, no plant based sausages, etc.

This hotel is fabulous. Does not market itself enough, it’s a real gem. We stayed on a quiet weekday and there was still a lovely atmosphere. The food is delicious, room was perfect and the staff are so friendly. The location is excellent. The pool and jacuzzi area is fantastic. This is our 5th time to stay and we can’t wait to go back again. Staff go above and beyond every time to ensure you have a wonderful stay.

Nicola scored 4 / 5 on 21/06/2021

The hotel was quiet when we arrived. We found the hotel easily. I had dietary requirements that the hotel staff fulfilled as they friendly and professional. Joe, my husband, thought the food was delicious. On the second night, I chose to have a veg stir fry which was extremely spicy!! So I won’t be ordering that again! The room we were booked into was spacious and clean; I could not fault it. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. Thank you.

We had a lovely 3 night stay, there was 9 adults in our Party and we all enjoyed our stay.. The staff are lovely and we felt very welcome. We have stayed here on a few occasions but with Covid restrictions we were unsure if we would enjoy it, we felt safe with the measures the hotel has put in place while still been able to eat and drink.

Sealions scored 4 / 5 on 28/11/2017

This hotel is in a great location in Carlow town and has lots of parking. It is just a short walk away from the main shopping street. The Fairgreen Shopping Centre is a short drive away - but there is free parking there. There is a great atmosphere in the hotel and there are lots of seating areas in the foyer for meeting up with friends or family or just relaxing. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast is excellent and there is plenty of choice. Bar food was also good and our dinner in the function room was tasty and was served by friendly waiting staff. The rooms are a little dated but perfectly functional. ( I have a problem in general with poor lighting in just about all hotels that I have ever stayed in. Why do hotel rooms lack a centre bright light in the room!) Without hesitation, I would recommend this hotel.

Ashy scored 3 / 5 on 18/07/2017

nice hotel family room good size. staff very nice and helpful nice pool. good location. found the bar menu a small bit pricey but otherwise a nice stay.

nice clean room. hotel staff very friendly, only complaint room 311 was very noisy on the sat night

Pat scored 3 / 5 on 29/01/2017

Couldn't fault our stay, staff very friendly & helpful, leisure centre was excellent, bedroom was roomy, breakfast was great. However the bar food was not good and the time spent waiting for food & coffee was too long.My battered fish was soggy,my partners lasagne was a reheat & the size of the bowl of coleslaw was ridiculously big. This might be a four star hotel but the bar food was no way near four star at the prices charged.

Paul scored 5 / 5 on 06/01/2017

Had a Problem with room heating but the fantastic duty manager got us a new room and compensated us at dinner and also give us a special complimentary desert for our 40th anniversary. This young man is a great asset to this hotel

Stayed for three nights in the Seven Oaks the staff were friendly and helpful Accommodation was basic no cold water even the cold tap had very hot water in it, staff arranged bottled water for us, food was good a little dear compared to other restaurants in town. The pool was a great advantage. All in all it was pleasant stay. Would we go back? We don't know !!

Michael scored 5 / 5 on 24/02/2016

Nice hotel. Clean. We had a very large quiet room. Dinner was nice, if fairly plain, but you can't complain for the price. Hotel is very near the town so it's easy to head out before dinner for a pint. Helpful cheery staff. Very happy, intend to stay there again.

We had a lovely stay staff were friendly food was fab. Leisure facilities were excellent. Rooms were a bit outdated but clean and the beds were so comfortable .

Khickey scored 4 / 5 on 01/01/2016

Location is great, walking distance to Town (10 mins ).Leisure center is great as the weather was bad when we stayed so children could spend time swimming. Rooms are fresh and clean and the provision of Safety Deposit Box a big asset. Tea / Coffee making facilities are also available in the room. WiFi available throughout the Hotel. Breakfast is very good with a great selection to chose from fresh fruit, cereals, and hot buffet. Dinner was very good however service was a bit slow.A major asset for this Hotel is their Staff, very friendly, helpful and efficient. Would definitely recommend it.

Room was dark as window faced a wall 2 feet away, we changed room the following day. Restaurant offered the worst service my partner and I have ever experienced. It is within walking distance to the town which was a positive. I am yet to recieve an acknowledgement from the hotel on a email sent over 48hrs ago. Overall an upsetting experience

Staff were very good/excellent. Pool is nice. Could be open earlier/later. 6.30 weekend close? Food was good. We had a good break.... thank you! One tip to mgt... we were on the second floor... our ceiling shook from people on the third floor. Not sure how you fix that or if it is structural - because they were not jumping or anything like that. Anyway - thanks again.

Myself and my partner have always stay in the Seven Oaks when we go to Carlow to visit friends. From the time we checkin to the time we leave I would never have a complaint. I have always found the staff to be very nice and helpfull and food to be of a very good standard. We always avail of the leisure facilities the steam room, sauna and pool and as always clean. Looking forward to my next stay in the Seven Oaks hoping it will be soon.

Aisling scored 3 / 5 on 26/06/2015

Myself and my friend decided to visit the Seven Oaks Hotel for a short break. The hotel was clean and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. There was a great variety of dishes for breakfast and we had dinner in the hotel one of the nights and it was a pleasant evening. We did have reason on one occasion to speak to the management as when sitting in either the bar or the lobby we found the air conditioning to be quite cold. Otherwise we had no issues with the hotel.

Sb scored 3 / 5 on 31/05/2015

Location very convenient, pool facilities great, my daughter had a ball. Dairy free alternative to milk available which was great. However, did not find staff overly friendly and the food was pretty disappointing. Got a different menu due to the value deal and it felt like we got leftovers chucked together. Staff didn't even bother asking if it was ok. Family room was a good size, but could do with updating. Shower and tap full of lime, not a lot of info in the room and herbal teas would have been great. We still enjoyed it, but would not have been happy had we paid more.

Wonderful weekend in the Seven Oaks Hotel.

Mark scored 4 / 5 on 24/02/2015

The Hotel is in need of modernising but this should not put anyone off as it is more the compensated by staff and service that you receive. We had a table booked for 14 and the Service was first class. Food was excellent and the staff could not do enough to make the whole experience memorable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this friendly if somewhat dated hotel.

Mickey scored 4 / 5 on 05/02/2015

We stayed in the hotel for a 2 night 3 day family break and really enjoyed our time there. Good location and easy to get to (we were travelling from West of Ireland). Can also walk into town from the hotel. Plenty of free parking. Very friendly staff esp the lads in the bar. Lovely big comfortable foyer where everybody could relax and stay around in, late in the evening. Bedroom was spacious and clean. Didn't use the gym but the pool was very good, well kept and suitable for all ages/sizes including a toddlers pool. Two things to note; although the hotel was lovely and clean the décor was dated. Also the food in the bar in the evening was a bit pricey. Michael Donnellan

Aidan scored 4 / 5 on 25/01/2015

The first and most important thing is that the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel just on the edge of town allowed for easy access to town and to the main roads leading to the many local attractions. We picked Carlow because we had not stayed there before and it was a good choice. Our experience was very pleasant and I felt like it was a value for money break. I personally feel that for a hotel that has been around a while the service has it punching above its weight which is why I am happy to give such a good rating.

Mac scored 4 / 5 on 16/01/2015

We stayed in the Seven Oaks Hotel during the Halloween Break. The family room was clean and well serviced. The food was excellent especially the range of breakfast food. The Leisure centre facilities were excellent. We really liked the swimming pool. Staff were very helpful and this added to a relaxing stay.

Nora scored 5 / 5 on 02/11/2014

I was very pleased with my stay in the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was particularly impressed with the food quality and choice. As a vegetarian it is often quiet difficult to have any choice other than pasta to eat. I am not a lover of pasta and was delighted to see a lovely nut roast and savoury omelette on the menu. Both were thoroughly enjoyable. The room was spotlessly clean and airy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay in Carlow. Nora, Tipperary.

We stayed for I night on dinner bed and breakfast deal in July . The staff were friendly and helpful, food was plentiful but the decor could do with updating. The bedroom was big with plenty of space with a single bed plus a double bed. We would stay again but would like to see new upholstery and carpets fitted. Star rating 3.

Tom scored 4 / 5 on 23/07/2014

to the management & staff of the seven oaks hotel, we enjoyed our stay with ye we would loved to have stayed longer but alas that was not to be, the staff were very helpfull and friendly, we were looked after the moment we arrived at reception, we have traveled around the world and stayed in many hotels, in our view this would be number 5 of our hotels in a scale of 10, the food was lovely the room also was what we asked for, just one little thing that some hotels in Ireland don't have compared what we found outside Europe is a small fridge in the bedroom. There is one other point that we think should be looked at, in most hotels that we have stayed in we usually settle our bill when we are leaving not when we arrive, to me it looks like you have no trust in your customers, for older people trying to get into a bath to have a shower should be looked at for safety reasons, it would be nice if there was a room where some trad music was laid on for the guests, it was very disappointing to find there was no suitable music in the town on Friday night to cater for our age group, while there was plenty of disco music around, we don't need head banging music at our age, we do appreciate all age groups have to be catered for maybe this is where the hotels could step in we would and have recommended this hotel to our friends already. Slan.

The atmosphere was brilliant in the town. I would rate this Hotel a 5 star for the warm welcome you get from the staff the food and cleanliness

We had a one night stay on the Seven Oaks hotel in Carlow. The staff are very friendly and helpful. However the room was over hot. We had no heating on and the window open all night and still we were too hot. The bed was also very creaky! We had a two course dinner and it was delicious . The hotel could do with a bit of modernisation. Probably won't go back to this hotel again.

Very pleasant staff. We had a lovely lunch in the bar when we arrived on Saturday afternoon. Nice leisure centre. My only criticism is that the water pressure in the shower wasn't great and the water was not very warm. On the night we stayed there were issues with the fire alarm and it went off a few times during the night - however the staff were very apologetic the next morning.

Myself and three friends stayed here last weekend for two nights. We had a great time in this lovely hotel. It is in need of modernization but this really didn't bother us as the hotel is spotlessly clean. I'm looking forward to a return visit with my fiance and baby.

Three of us had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, even though it was quite busy. We travelled from our son's confirmation, and after we mentioned this at reception the receptionist presented him with a card with €10 inside. It was such a lovely, thoughtful surprise. The hotel is very comfortable - absolutely no complaints. It is also very well situated in the centre of town.

Linda scored 3 / 5 on 18/02/2014

We had a lovely stay in the Seven Oaks hotel recently, just one night but certainly great value at €49 per person including a nice room for the night (double and single bed), dinner for two and breakfast the next morning. Although we didn't actually avail of the leisure facilities, there was plenty of people going in and out of it. The dinner was lovely but make sure to pre-book your time as it was extremely busy. The only complaint I would have is that the room we were based in was miles away from reception, 2 lifts and long walks required! The bar there lacked any kind of atmosphere for the evening so we ventured out into the town which is literally on your doorstep. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and fresh. Would certainly return there.

Spent the night here with my husband on Saturday the 1st of February, it has been a long time since we have stayed at this hotel and you can see it is just not the standard that it used to be... On a positive note the reception staff were very friendly as were the staff in the leisure centre and the staff we encountered at breakfast. We were in room 236 which was nice and quiet. The room was standard however could do with a closer look by housekeeping there was a lot of cobwebs in the room, around the window and also on the roof above the bed. The corridors were very cold on the way to our room and our room upon entering was freezing... Maybe turn on the radiator if the room is to be occupied. This is a fine 3 star hotel however it is in need of some up keeping... For instance the metal that surrounds the shower controls in our room was not attached and fell off into the bath while I was showering. Also the water was tepid from the shower but piping hot from the bath hot tap, so I had to turn on the cold bath tap to allow the hot water flow to the shower to have a hot shower... Also the toilet rocks slightly...Maybe worth looking at. Breakfast was nothing to write home about pretty basic, nice scrambled eggs though. And back to the maintenance issues, the wall paper beside our table was filthy... we sat at the table for 4 in the corner behind the waiting staff area inside the door of the restaurant, very off putting... To be honest for the price we paid it was grand and if we were heading to Carlow again we would stay here over the Talbot...But it could be so much better if the small things are taken care of.

On arriving we did not expect much as the outside is in need of a little bit of a modern facelift but when we landed at reception and were efficiently seen to and our room was ready ahead of schedule we were more than pleased. This was early New Year and the decorations and ambiance were fantastic; garlands, Christmas trees and roaring fires and a really comfortable lounge area which seemed very popular. Lovely staff and great room size were also appreciated and a fantastic breakfast with intimate booths made the whole experience very good. The rooms were comfortable, though with many hotels, in need of a little bit of modernisation - there was some mould around the shower/bath area. We had to pay E2.55 for swimming hats to use the pool which was a bit annoying for a two day stay but the pool was very pleasant with free shower/body wash. Overall very pleased with the service, location and comfort of this hotel.

Stayed overnight on Saturday 16th November. I found the receptionist and all the staff very friendly and helpful. The leisure centre is excellent. Had breakfast on Sunday morning which was superb. The hotel was buzzing on Saturday night with a dinner dance and some Hens! The décor is somewhat dated but I think that is understandable in the current climate for me the fact that the Hotel is spotless in the Hotel makes up for the dated décor. Would definitely return.

Stayed at the Seven Oaks on Saturday, 12th October to attend Strictly Fun Dancing. We had a brilliant night, dined in hotel before show, had drinks, attended the show, stayed overnight, had breakfast before leaving hotel at about 2 o'clock after having coffee. We were very happy with hotel, service was very good, staff were great, mostly Irish people. It was great to stay In a hotel in Ireland and to see so many Irish people employed. My wife and I stayed here on 06/09/13 for a one night stay including dinner and B&B. It was our wedding anniversary and we were thrilled to be given The Carlton suite which was a fabulous spacious room situated at the front of the hotel with a beautiful bow window to view from. Our dinner was delicious, hot and fresh, with ample portions and great value for money with just a 5 euro supplement charge for steak and was well worth it. The hotel was quiet that night so we decided to venture into the town just a short walk away and found a lively pub and dancing till late. We had a great sleep in a large comfy bed. The highlight of the stay was breakfast next morning, ample choice for all. Cereal, bread, toast, croissants, cheese, yoghurt, juices, fresh fruit salad. The hot breakfast was buffet style with excellent quality and huge portions, we didn't need to eat till evening. The staff were all very efficient and friendly and happy in their work, which is nice to see in this industry. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the spa, but we intend to return for a longer stay next time because we were very impressed with this hotel. We have already recommended it to friends and family and we would like to thank The Seven Oaks for a most enjoyable stay and a great anniversary treat .Great value for money. Keep up the excellent quality! Daragh , Westmeath.

Great value on a Lidl deal. Have stayed in this hotel before and have found staff to be very helpful and pleasant. The rooms we have stayed in have been more that adequate and wants for nothing. The food is good and reasonably priced. Breakfast provides a selection that certainly met all our needs with a range of cereals, fruit, juices, breads, yoghurts and of course the usual fry up, scrambled eggs etc. Would not hesitate to recommend the Seven Oaks.

Bar food was good -- hearty portions, Room was clean and spacious and had tea/coffee-making equipment. The double bed wasn't particularly comfortable and there was a lot of noise during the night from smokers outside and taxis coming and going (I think there was a wedding on). Breakfast was excellent. With the Lidl-breaks.ie rate, our stay was very good value and I would use it again. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the town centre so the location is good.

The staff were extremely friendly and because the waitress forgot our chips and veg they gave us the wine on the house ! We didn't get to use the swimming pool but it looked lovely ,my only complaint would be that there had been a wedding the day before and the wedding party took over the whole foyer and bar so it was a little loud and busy !

Just back from a weekend at the Seven Oaks.(mature couple in our late 60's) The hotel is beautiful you could not fault it. The room was excellent very spacious, bed very comfortable. The resturant was lovely, food really good no problems at all. The bar food was also very good. The pool area is fab. The hotel staff were excellent and very friendly could not do enough for you. The only downside was there was no music on in the hotel over the weekend, and our room was a very long walk to the reception. The town is a very short distance away so no shortage of pubs with music. Over all we had a great time, great value for money and would highly recommend this hotel. Jenny & George. Dublin

The only negative was I booked late and had a long walk to my room. As it was situated a long way back. I prob should have said I had a dodgy leg. But Seven oaks, keep up the great work. Will see you again soon.

I found this hotel to be very clean, friendly and helpful staff. It was close to everything and I am returning again in August of this year.

Rosaleen scored 3 / 5 on 07/03/2012

Lovely hotel food gorgeous. Didnt go to leisure centre so cant comment on that. One negative was room was unbearably hot & took a long time to cool even when radiators were turned off. Would have liked music in the bar on the Saturday night and would have actually stayed there after dinner if there had been

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. we were down for a hen weekend and they just could not do enough for us. I was on changing this and that every couple of minutes and they accomodated us on everything. I have never met hotel staff as nice. We we're giving free toasted sandwiches in the residents bar at 5am when other hotels would be kicking you out to close up. then all 10 rooms were giving late check out, with the last room not checking out till after 4. This was no issue at all. If you are planning a hen or stag or just a weekend away. Then seven oaks in carlow is defo the place for you. 5 Stars.

Lecoq scored 3 / 5 on 07/02/2012

Lovely hotel but lads on the door of the residents bar on the Saturday night were on a serious power trip and were also sexist!!!

Bar staff were very friendly and had meal there both nights as it was good value. Pool was very nice and my 4 year old had a great time. Only issue was i had to pay €5 additional each day for my childs breakfast, this wasn't mentioned when i booked. Indeed the person in reception didn't say anything until i queried the difference in price on the bill. Apart from that enjoyable stay

We had a lovely stay here in the hotel, the hotel is dated in decor which I found really nice, however others might not. Really friendly staff and food was lovely, the only downfall was that there was no entertainment and if there had of been we would have stayed in the hotel for it, but the town is not too far away so we found some there.

My wife and I had a very good value Lidl weekend break in the Seven Oaks Hotel. We got a warm welcome and the staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. We both very much enjoyed using the leisure centre's gym and swimming pool. While very busy the weekend we stayed there we never felt like it was overcrowed and all our needs were met. Our room was quiet at night which afforded us a good night's sleep. The location is also very central and I would recommend a stay in the Seven Oaks

Hi We stayed in a family room last friday night. Nice Hotel great Leisure Facilities and Great Food but the Family Room was on the 3rd floor and right next to the road where the late night Drunk revellers shouting and traffic from 12- 3.30 pm kept us all awake all night meaning a very tired kids / family next day. So it spoiled our stay - family rroms should be at the far side of the hotel!!!!

Toni scored 5 / 5 on 26/07/2011

Have just returned from a weekend in the Seven Oaks. Overall the staff were very friendly, and food was good value. The hotel is very quiet would have like some entertainment. Rooms quite dated and was kept awake until 4am on Friday coming into Saturday because of noise from front door from a wedding party (our room was adjacent to reception). To be fair to the hotel they did offer us to switch rooms which we declined as only staying for 2 nights. I found Carlow town quite nice with lots of shops to pass the Saturday afternoon. There was no rush on checkout which was nice. I would rate this hotel 3 stars.

Elaine scored 5 / 5 on 12/07/2011

The Seven Oaks Hotel has the warmest Irish welcoming atmosphere in all the hotels I have stayed in across Ireland. it's been a long time since we stayed in ahotel were there were more Irish that foreign staff there and it showed there was no broken English, or trying to explain yourself and people who knew the town and could point you in the right direction. There were of course foreign nationals working there too and they were as equally friendly, all the staff are warm. The food was excellent and the breakfast was a proper Irish breakfast!! Overall between location, staff, food and drink I would definetly rate this hotel 4 stars

Ann-marie scored 5 / 5 on 24/05/2011

I found the staff very friendly the hotel was lovely the only downfall was the beds were very small in size and the room which we stayed in was very noisie due to been on a busy road. There was no entertainment on at all over the week end i think if if there was we would have stayed in the hotel for the two nights. The only way i would go back if they changed some of thees things. i would the hotel as a 3 star

Himabindu scored 5 / 5 on 23/05/2011

Swimming pool was good, but to be honest hotel was packed with people not only that rooms furninshing looks very old and got a nasty call in the middle of the night and hour later there was big bang on the door someone was knocking at the door at 4am in the morning so could not sleep at all. There was nothing to do in the Carlow town either would not be visiting the hotel ever again.

Hi We had a lovely night in the Seven Oaks hotel. Everything was very satisfactory, friendly staff and great food. The room was clean and comfortable. No complaints!!

Gracer scored 4 / 5 on 05/05/2011

in essence the break was excellent value for money, the staff (receptionist, bar & restaurant staff) were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, particularly the value element of same and the portions we received, my one reservation would be that the lift was far from clean and the room itself was not particularly clean, there was fluff on the upper sections of the net curtains, there was bits of food and debris behind the locker, the valance sheet on one of the beds was visibly not clean – it would appear that this room had not been occupied for some time but I hasten to add this did not spoil my stay – overall excellent value, excellent service Thanks You Lidl – I will be availing of more breaks

Carrie scored 2 / 5 on 04/05/2011

Stayed in the Seven Oaks this May Bank holiday weekend for one night. Hotel looks lovely on arrival, reception area very welcoming and clean. Having read the fantastic reviews on the lidl breaks site I was expecting a good break away. The staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was very clean although does need updating. We had a few issues in our room as our main light was not working, there was a light bulb missing on one side of the bed and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls - it just seemed like this room hadnt been used in while and the fact we were put on the smoking floor and were not given the option as to whether we wanted smoking or non smoking...the other downside was that there was a 30th Birthday on that went on until 5 the next morning, not to mention the walls of the rooms were so thin we could hear the guests next door snoring!!! The food in the hotel was standard nothing to write home about! Overall, good effort but I wouldnt go back for another stay!

Majella scored 5 / 5 on 22/04/2011

we had a family room which was big and clean - staff were lovely and very helpful. food was excellent and when we only wanted appetisers and side orders in the evenings the bar staff were very accommodating. would definately stay there again as the hotel is very near the town centre but in a quite location

Vicky scored 2 / 5 on 20/04/2011

The rooms are a great size. We had a group booking so had 4 rooms. We all found our rooms a little dusty. Unfortunately, there was a hens party staying in the hotel the same weekend that were very loud for the whole night until the following morning. We were told the night porter was policing the corridors asking guests to keep the noise down but we did not see him once or hear him asking them to keep the noise down. Apart from that the hotel is very central.

Just back from a mothers day weekend in The Seven Oaks. We went with a big group and we all thought it was great. Rooms were big and spacious and nice and clean, our evening meal which as included in the lidl-break package was gorgeous. There was plenty of food and vegtables, mash etc were offered a number of times. Breakfast was also very nice. Staff were very friendly and were willing to offer their help. Would definately go back again and I would recommend to book through lidl-breaks as you get a great deal.

What a fine hotel this is. We had a lovely warm room that had a double AND a single bed in it and still had tons of space. The bed was so comfortable we almost missed breakfast !! Oh, and what a great breakfast they do, we didn't need to stop for food until evening meal time. And the evening meal was wonderful too. The staff were extremely efficient, helpful and friendly and i did tell the lady on reception when checking out that we thought it was a great hotel. We give it 5 stars because the only thing we could find to be annoyed about wasn't the hotels fault !! ...and it was that we were kept awake at 2.45 on the friday night and 4.45 on the saturday night by inconsiderate clowns who were attending functions and had come outside to wait for transport home, but insisted on carrying on loud conversations and singing right under our window..... our fault for not phoning down to the desk and asking them to get the idiots to shut up but we would have had to do it a number of times before the crowds cleared away and anyway it would have put the staff in an awkward situation . However the sleep-in made up for it anyway :) We also availed of the pool, sauna and steam room which we found to be totally relaxing....I'm thinking we should give it a 6 star rating for total enjoyment. Well done the Seven Oaks - we will return another time.

WE STAYED AT THE SEVEN OAKS LAST WEEKEND 25TH TO 27TH FEB. THE HOTEL IS EXREMELY COMFORTABLE AND SPOTLESS WITH VERY LARGE BEDROOMS. FOOD IS EXCELLENT BUT ABOVE ALL THE STAFF ARE THE NICEST HOTEL STAFF I HAVE EVER MET AND I HAVE STAYED IN MANY HOTELS IN IRELAND AND ABROAD AND THEY ARE ALL IRISH WHICH IS VERY NICE FOR A CHANGE. THEY COULDNT DO ENOUGH FOR US. WE HAD OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN WITH US. THEY ALL LOVED THE LEISURE CENTRE. POOL IS GREAT SPOTLESS. We stayed in The Seven Oaks Hotel on 4th November 2010, the Staff are extremely friendly and attentive to detail, and the food at both Dinner and Breakfast times was delicious with large portions. We requested a room with walk in shower which was located on the ground floor it was clean, warm, and spacious and was a very quiet area could not hear outside noise. We did not have time to visit the Leisure Centre. For the warm welcome and close proximity to Carlow Town we have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to our families and friends. The pool area was great and the rooms were gorgeous (but a little too hot). The food was so good. We had dinner for %u20AC10 each - so much food on the plate - I was only able for half. The dessert was gorgeous - only able for half that too. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel.

Stayed at the Seven Oaks to celebrate my 60th Birthday and our wedding anniversary. We were plesently surprised to be upgraded to the Bridal Suite. It was wonderful, with a lovely four poster bed. It was hard to believe this was a Lidl break which only cost us %u20AC196 for both of us for two nights bed breakfast and evening meal. We thought the food was lovely but would have liked more choices for the starters. The Seven Oaks is a lovely hotel and only a short walk into the centre of the town. We would have stayed in the hotel the two nights if there had been entertainment as the lounge was very nice and cosy and the staff in both the restaurant, lounge and reception were very nice and friendly. We will be back to the Seven Oaks again and think the Lidl breaks are great value for money.

Our stay in the Seven Oaks Hotel was everything we could have wished for. The Hotel was beautiful the food outstanding the service flawless. Regardless of the fact we wear on a package deal we got the same treatment as everybody else. We will definitely be back. Patricia & John

I stayed here with my niece for the weekend had a beautiful room. Staff were very friendly. Food was delicious. Paddy Casey was playing the weekend we stayed and the atmosphere was brilliant. Very close to Carlow town. Would stay again. Had a great relaxing and restful weekend. Would highly recommend this hotel

My husband and i had a lovely stay in the Seven Oaks Hotel. The rooms were really clean the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We also brought my mother and father along with us as it was such a great offer. When we arrived the receptionist informed me that they upgraded my mam and dad to the excutive suite which i thought was a really nice touch. We had a lovely stay and we hope to return later in the summer. Thank you Seven Oaks

spent 2 niights with 3 kids under 12 midweek. found staff very friendly and hotel very good. food was adequate. the room was the largest i have ever seen, 4 poster double 3 singles and a cot for good measure. there was still room for sofa table and chairs with room to spare. one drawback was in the pool area where wet tiles were leathal and nearly lost footing with 3 year old several times. i had an hour to my self one evening and went to the bar with the paper only to find no bar stools. curious? overall very good value

I would recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, spacious clean room, excellent food, great entertainment, great leisure facilities and easy walking distance to the centre of town. My only regret is that we only stayed one night but plan to return soon. Thank you Lidls for making it possible.

I enjoyed my stay at Seven Oaks Hotel, it was a good walk to the centre of Carlow, but we left the car at the hotel and walked in. Prebooked room was dark and dated, so we asked for a nicer room which we were given. Food lovely, friendly hotel staff. I didn't like the fact that the (not quite as friendly) staff were so far away from the swimming pool area, and the pool was very cold. I think there should be better observation of the pool area especially with seniors and youngsters getting in and out of the pool. I liked the little garden hidden away at the back of the car park. Nice touch.

I found this hotel to be of very high standards both in cleanlyness and friendlyness, i would have no hesitation in recommending it to all my family and friends. I have already booked to come back again. Thank you for helping me have a brilliant time in carlow.

Accomodation and breakfast was good but disappointed with the dinner which was not up to the expectations. Children club facilities would have added more value.
