Hotel itself was nice and staff very pleasant but the food being served was not of a standard for the prices charged. The menu was very limited . Pool was great and kids enjoyed it , hotel was very welcoming of kids as there were lots of families there .

We had a lovely relaxing stay in the McWilliam Park Hotel. Room was gorgeous and we were upgraded to executive suite. All the staff were top class, food was gorgeous and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend the hotel and look forward to staying again sometime...

We had an amazing stay. The rooms are beautiful and so roomy. The staff were all so friendly and couldn't do enough for us and were so good to our girls which really made the stay so enjoyable. Food was very tasty also.

When we arrived the receptionist tried to over charge us and only when I showed her balance owed did she charge me the balance owed, when we got to our room (standerd hotel room basic and clean) and went to have a shower there was no shower curtain, then realised the knob to change from Bath to shower on the tap was broken. Reception was rang a hotel worker came to our room but couldn't fix so he moved us to a different room. He apologised for the inconvenience and we heard no more from the hotel about it, so we were a tad miffed about that, dinner & breakfast were good, we had no other issues.

Have stayed in this hotel many times. The stay this time was excellent, with full compliance to the Covid 19 guidelines. Everything was very well organized. Housekeeping didn’t enter you room unless specifically asked to. Reception phoned to ask if there was anything we needed. Well done everybody

First time to Claremorris and to McWilliam Park Hotel so v impressed with hotel overall. Food & staff excellent . Room decor beautiful with tea/coffee making facilities. Great social distancing and hand sanitisers readily available . Would highly recommend it for a stacation .

Had a lovely stay here last weekend.had dinner in kavanaghs bar both nights and were not disappointed, food was first class and the young staff were friendly and competent. Room was spacey with a flat screen tv.pool was nice and not too busy.really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return

I was really pleased with our stay here, everything from the staff, to the food and the leisure centre was of a top standard. It was our last stop on our week long staycation around Ireland and the only regret we had was not staying longer. This was the best hotel we visited. We will definitely be back.

It’s fantastic hotel. Very clean. Large room. Excellent staff. Food is exceptional. One of the best pancake ever I had for the breakfast( thank you chef). Lovely pool and gym.. really good value for money. Will go again when I get a chance again. Thank you to cork GM. I am from cork too. ????

Great for a short break. Staff were excellent, very welcoming and efficient. We had a problem with one of the lamps but this was fixed within five minutes. Really enjoyable stay would return again.

We had a 2 night stay in the hotel. The staff went above and beyond for us. With 2 samll kids they really couldnt do enough for us. In relation to all guidelines in place I couldnt fault them. We will definitely be back very soon. Food lovely, pool great for kids and adults. Its a ten out of ten from us.

Beautifully decorated bedroom , lovely friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us , breakfast was lovely , dinner on our package was disappointing for me as a vegetarian as only choice was pasta but otherwise a lovely hotel to stay in perfect location for daily trips , nice pool and very well managed re COVID .

The waiting and bar staff were friendly and so caring towards myself and especially my elderly mother. Young people get so much bad press but the young staff at this hotel were so pleasant even when they were under pressure. The bedroom cleaners held doors open for us and were so pleasant. Our dinner was of excellent quality and the breakfast ran so smoothly even though it was very busy. The reception staff were helpful and very efficient. The swimming pool was beautiful and very clean. Excellent parking facilities and plenty of disabled parking spaces. Finally the hotel was clean, warm and welcoming and we will definitely return to stay here again.

Despite rechecking prior to arrival that we had three children with us we were checked into a room with a double a single and a camp bed. However it took an hour but they loved us and the next room was perfect. Breakfast was perfectly fine given the circumstances. I think dinner was a bit limiting in choice especially for the children’s menu. Not all children eat chicken nuggets and chips. Overall it was a lovely stay though and staff were very friendly and accommodating especially as times are challenging. We will return hopefully.

I have just returned from a weekend at the McWilliam Hotel. I found the staff to be both friendly welcoming and professional. My husband and I were upgraded to a Deluxe suite which was spotless comfortable and nice decor with a large TV integrated into the wall. The WiFi was good in all areas. Breakfast was delicious, the only downside was the Lidl break menu for Dinner. The Vegetables were undercooked and not a great choice my husband opted for the Main Menu where a supplement applied. I would definitely return, really enjoyed the weekend.

We had a wonderful stay in the hotel this week. The staff were very friendly, pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and the ambiance very homely. Missed the opportunity to get dancing but we will be back again soon for another stay.

We stayed in the McWilliam park hotel for 4night at end of July, I can honestly say it was one of the most pleasent and friendlies hotels I have brought my grandkids to, The staff couldn't be anymore helpful when it came to keeping the young ones happy weather it be with the food and drink choices or the pool times we were allocated... The room service was brilliant and the rooms were cleaned every day on my request..I would highly recommend the hotel for food and for value for money....I will definitely be booking it again

Stayed here for 3 nights as a family in July 2020. We had a fabulous time and all staff were extremely helpful and attentive during these different and challenging times. I would like to mention Steven who looked after us at dinner each night. He really couldn't do enough for us. Food was of a high standard too. Only advise I would have to anyone staying here in present times is to bring bath robes as access to changing rooms is limited although bath robes can be hired. All in all a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel, helpful staff . Swimming pool was great. But had a big issue with the way payment was taken from our visa debit card. Full payment was taken from our account on arrival (actually debited from our bank account). Then the full amount plus some extras was debited to our card on the morning of departure resulting in us paying twice for the stay. I rang the hotel to query why our account was actually debited twice and they said it was our banks fault and the pre-authorisation amount should be returned to our account with 5 to 10 days. Our bank said it was the way the hotel handled the transaction that was the fault. Either way we are without the money for several days while we wait for someone to refund us. Not satisfactory.

We had a very enjoyable stay at McWilliam Park Hotel. All the staff were excellent and what they do, very friendly and helpful, this makes a hotel what it is in my eyes. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant on the first night, great quality and choice, there was no problem mixing between the a la carte and table d'hote menus. Breakfast was more than adequate and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The children really enjoyed the leisure center although the changing rooms are very small and can get very busy. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. In fact they were painting the corridors on the second floor while we were there, which wasn't a problem, in fact it was great to see. There isn't much to do or see in Claremorris, but we went away to just relax and do nothing so it suited us to the ground. I would definitely recommend McWilliam Park Hotel and would return without hesitation myself.

18 - 21 Oct. 2013 Excellent Hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff friendy and helpful. We had our meal in the restaurant on the Friday night which was delicious, we had Bar food too and it was very good. The only fault we had was that Wifi was not available in the Bedrooms. Myself and my friend had Facial Treatments in the Spa carried out by a very friendly and professional girl. While the hotel is in a good location, it is a ten minute walk to the Town Centre.

We were in room 127 which is situated above the lounge and has a window out to the taxi collection area / smoking area. This meant that we heard a lot of late night noise on both the Friday and Saturday night. Although the staff were nice and friendly, the breakfast was very greasy. The pastries / bread were stale on the Saturday morning and the Tea pot was filthy. On a positive note, the Jacuzzi was nice, and the room was spotless. It is unlikely that I would stay here again.

I found our room was a family room with four beds in it which left it cluttered looking . All the surfaces were dusty but when I explained this to the receptionist she called the manager and he got it cleaned. The staff were very pleasant and the meals were excellent.

My 2 children & I stayed at this hotel on saturday night february 2nd 2013 . The whole family have stayed here on a number of occasions before. Stayed for a wend break 25-26th Nov with 2 of my sisters ,Myself and my husband have often stayed overnight as we love going to the big bands that the Mcwilliam Park hotel hold throughout the year. what a lovely wend it was the hotels 6th Anniv and both my sisters were very impressed with the hotel overall. Food in Restaurant the first night was to die for what a Menu and equally Bar Food on the 2nd night was really nice .Hotel was jam packed and their Staff are second to none, nothing was too much trouble for them and they coped so proficiently with such a large crowd all of them well on top of their different briefs Only fault was wireless internet was not available in the bedrooms you had to take laptop down to the lobby, im sure this can be rectified very easily in this day and age as lots of business people like to work away in the quiet of their bedrooms. Well done to the McWilliam you are doing a fine job. One of my sisters is going to book her daughter and her family in as a Christmas present for the 2 nights B&B and evening dinner she was so impressed. Thank you once again and keep up the good work.. My wife Carmel and i went for short a break to the McWilliam Park Hotel and found it probably the best we have stayed in yet.We found the hotel to be very reasonable,food was of a high standard and room exceptional all the staff very friendly and accommodating,bar prices a lot cheaper than the bars in Dublin.We have already recommended to friends and family. all in all we will definitely be back for another visit. Booked 5 rooms in the McWilliam Park hotel for extended family. I must say that I could not fault this hotel in any way. At this stage, I have stayed in a lot of Irish hotels and this hotel for me definitely ranks in the top range. The room itself was fine, but we all thought that a fridge would be an added bonus in the room. The food in the restaurant was excellent. On some evenings we had our dinner in the bar, good selection, but a few of my family would have preferred if the food was a bit warmer. They should have asked for it to be re-heated, but didn't. A special mention to Gerard in the bar and restaurant whom we found to be extremely friendly, helpful and an all round lovely chap. The majority of the staff were irish, which I must say makes life a lot simpler for everyone! There was music in the bar one night when we were there, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The hote is ideal for anyone who wishes to visit Knock, as it is about 15 mins by car from there. The leisure centre is great and the morning we went there was very quiet. The opening hours for the leisure centre is very good also, in comparison to some hotels. Two of our party had shoulder and back massages in the beauty salon, which we enjoyed and we found quite reasonable. Overall, a very enjoyable stay had by all and I would definitely have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Stayed here on 22nd and 23rd August '11 Nice modern hotel. Room was well equipped with coffe/tea facilities and iron/board, wifi etc. Tv had very bad reception. Very nice staff at reception and dining room. Breakfast had the usual serve yourself area and your main order was taken by staff and was of very good standard. The dinner on offer at 35 euro wasn't particularly good value-could have been reduced for residents. The leisure centre was quite nice but not supervised directly. This meant that some rules were ignored by some eg parents wearing shoes into pool area, 'bombing, running. The hotel is easy to access from the main road and is within walking distance of the town. There is a very nice restaurant - The Arches- in the town-highly recommended. Altogether the hotel to stay in in in mid-west Ireland.

staff friendly and helpful, rooms comfortable and clean, Pool very nice and gym was good very pleasant stay and will return. Food in bar / restaurant was a bit pricy, Used supermarket and take away instead

Hotel was very good value for money. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Must admit it was very nice to have Irish Staff - no problems understanding on either side. The leisure facilities were excellent.

Stayed here on a Thursday night. Found the staff to be most helpful, receptionists ,swimming, pool and especially person (man) (sorry I didn't get his name ) in charge of the restaurant who went that extra bit to look after our son who is a fineky eater. Will stay there again.

Both my mam and myself enjoyed our stay in McWilliam Park Hotel. I emailed beforehand and asked for a room near a lift etc as my mom is in her 80's, and my request was granted, which I was very grateful of. The staff are very obliging and polite. Just on a few things, I found the surface in the swimming pool are very slippy and dangerous, I informed the hotel last year, but its still slippy. None of the hairdryers were working in the swimming pool which was ok for us as we were staying in the hotel. There was no over sheet on the bed which would have been nice. I overheard another customer complaining also about the same issue, cutbacks........ But overall we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at the hotel. Antoinette Daly.

I enjoyed my 3 night break here. The rooms were nice & quite big. Staff were friendly & helpful, printed out maps etc. for us. Food was very nice. My only complaint was there were beauty treatments advertised at a reasonable cost, but any time I rang the extension, I just got through to a voice-mail. There never seemed to be anyone available in the salon. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel. It also seemed to be family friendly.

The hotel, staff and the location of the hotel were excellent. The value for money is amazing. Very family friendly, will definately use Lidl breaks again and will return to this hotel.

Loved every minute of it thougt it was super great valu for money simple to book and complete. Hotel was gorgeous wit great food and lovely staff and most importantly for us great for kids. We will def be back xx

We stayed as a party of two couples for a weekend in June 2010. Overall the hotel was very comfortable and clean, the menu in the restaurant was very good and the food was excellent. The staff were very helpful and attentive, the only downside for us was the fact that we were in two rooms adjacent to a very noisy and large refrigeration fan at the rear of the hotel and there was very little sleep for any of us that night, it took away from the point of going on a relaxing weekend away. Having spoken to the reception staff next morning they moved us to quit rooms but they need to review using the rooms very close to this fan which is on 24 / 7. Otherwise an excellent hotel
