My wife and I stayed in the Derrynane Hotel for three nights starting on the 24th June 2014, and were pleasantly surprised with the friendly staff. Also by the beautiful views and the surrounding area.

Lovely setting.Friendly staff, but its old and could do with a facelift.

Had a two night break here. Very friendly staff and very helpful. Hotel itself is very 1990's , need extensive updating. Food is good , but again needs to move with the times ; only full fat milk, only full fat butter, poor selection of fruit for breakfast,( prunes and grapefruit). These things are easily remedied , but need to be addresses.

We stayed in Derrynane Hotel from 30th Aug to 1st Sept 2013 and really enjoyed our stay. There was a warm welcome and we always felt that we were treated as guests not as a number. The way the hotel is designed makes best use of the beautiful surroundings; you can have a cup of tea in the bar or have dinner in the dining area and you're always able to overlook the beautiful sea and nearby islands. Everything in the hotel it is well thought out, simple, practical and spanking clean. The hotel has not of the pretentiousness that other hotels have, no silly decorations schemes or overload of colour and design. We loved our room, again simple but comfortable with everything cleverly organised. Food was of a very good quality, again we enjoyed the simplicity and service was excellent. The hotel provides a lovely leaflet with things to do and great short and long walks to do in the area. We were amazed about the beauty of the landscape and a visit to Derrynane house was very inspiring. We loved everything about our stay and hopefully we'll be back again. Just back from the place my husband and I call heaven on earth!! Had an amazing time at the Derrynane Hotel, as usual it never ceases to amaze us ! The hospitality of Mary and her team, the great food, and entertainment the whole family atmosphere, the views from the dining room and lobby areas , also it is well worth asking for a room with a sea view when booking ,you wont be disappointed as all these combined make this hotel a truly spectacular experience!!!Can't wait to make another return trip!! Thank you Mary!!! xxxxx

Excellent, I don't want to rave too much about it in case it gets too popular and I can't get a room next time I want to go there, which i do! Rooms relatively simply but cleaned daily, which is really nice to come back to. Owner and staff very accommodating and the area is out of this world!!

My husband and I stayed at the Derrynane hotel recently ,our stay included breakfast and evening meal! All of which were fabulous, as usual we were not disappointed, Mary and all the staff were so inviting and as usual gave us plenty of attention. This is our favourite hotel and we have stayed in quite a few over the last twenty years and we still return to the Derrynane hotel which we consider our little piece of heaven. Can't wait for our return visit !! Thank you all xxxxxx

Hotel is 10 minutes drive from any beach, pool was not heated, kids play area is a bit dilapidated, no healthy food choices for kids on menu, staff were friendly, wifi does not cover all of hotel, watch out for extra charge for sea view. Overall an ok place to set up base for exploring that side of Kerry... Views were great.
