Highly recommended! We have just spent the most wonderful weekend at this hotel. Our family with 2 year old twins were made so welcome from our very first correspondence with them. Karen at Reception worked with us by email before we even arrived to ensure our stay would be perfect! The family room (206) was the perfect size for all of us and was spotless. The food at the hotel was of a truly exceptional standard and all though the weekend we overheard lots of other guests singing its praises. As vegetarians we were really delighted with all the options in the 'Vegetarian Corner' on their menu - the mixed veg platter was just so delicious and the children's menu was full of options also. At breakfast the lovely waitress even gave our boys some pictures and crayons which was very much appreciated! The staff were so professional and also very helpful in providing ideas and maps for places in the location to visit. Clarinbridge is a really historic nearby village and Turoe Pet Farm was a perfect way to spend an afternoon. Also Traught Beach was lovely and peaceful and the playground in Loughrea itself is also great. This really is such a comfortable, relaxing hotel with the highest level of staff and I just could not recommend it enough.

I went with my husband & daughter for a short 3 night break. While the hotel has an "old worldly" feel about it we enjoyed our stay. I would say the hotel has three F's - Food, Family & Friendly. The breakfast was good and all the meals in the restaurant were delicious. I was particularly pleased with how they handled my daughter's nut allergy without any fuss. As the desserts are all made in house she was even able to have the chocolate pudding which she normally can't have as the are brought in so that was a big plus. The family room was a very generous space with plenty of room for relaxing. The setting of the hotel is lovely with plenty of parking and is a good base for touring. The only bad thing I would say was that the Wi fi signal was dreadful everywhere. It was hit & miss in the lobby & non existent in the bedroom. Overall we had a lovely break and would recommend it.

Nice and quiet hotel, love the lighting very romantic. Dinner was ok, but very oily and we all get bloated stomach . Full Irish breakfast was very poor not for the standard of 4*, missing even beans! Wifi in the hotel very bad.

We stayed in The Meadow Court for two nights and we had a very relaxing time. The food was wonderful and they understood about gluten free food, which was a joy. ( my gluten free apple tartlet was Devine ) All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and so quiet. All in all a great experience was had at The Meadow Court.

We stayed one night on 9th Aug on a B&B basis. Check-in was quick and efficient, considering the receptionist also dealt with a bridal party. The room was spacious and clean with good facilities (tea making, iron & ironing board, TV, open WiFi). The bathroom was clean and looked freshly refurbished. We ate in the restaurant - the food was tasty and service was good. Breakfast was very good - we didn't use the buffet as the full breakfast was very filling. You could also order smaller choices, all made to order. My one complaint would be that we were in the room above the seating/smoking area beside the front entrance and other guests disturbed our sleep at 3am. So avoid room 103 (or any other room above that area) if you don't want to be disturbed.

Stamfie scored 3 / 5 on 06/07/2014

Despite requesting a quiet room, we were put in the room above the entrance door and smoking area. However the hotel was quiet and didn't effect us too much. Bed was rather hard. Hot breakfast was swimming in grease, had to use napkin to soak up the grease and the tomatoes were charred. Otherwise we enjoyed out visit, dinner menu choice for Vegetarians was excellent.

We stayed at The Meadow Court on Saturday 31st of August. The Receptionist was really pleasant. We dined in the Restaurant that evening and again the staff were really attentive and pleasant the food was absolutely gorgeous. The room was spacious and immaculate, had a great nights sleep. very nice hotel a bit off the beaten track but we had a lovely comfortable room, pleasant and helpful bar and serving staff, only draw back the food included in the booking price let it down a little bit but that is the only negative thing I could say about our whole stay, overall very good

Had an enjoyable break at the hotel. Staff were friendly and the food was excellent. I would stay here again.

Marion scored 3 / 5 on 18/04/2013

The staff were excellent and the food was fabulous. Even though the hotel is dated the place was very clean well presented, Our only problem was with the heat in the bedroom, too warm, and the shower head could be updated nothing that would deter me from visiting again. The hotel is about 2 miles from loughrea town but a cab only cost €5. From what I could see there was plenty of parking but the hotel was quiet the night we stayed so don't know if that would be a problem when busy. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Ideal for a quiet getaway.

My husband and i stayed for 1 night at the start of March. We were greeted by staff member Emma. She was lovely. They had all our details at hand. The check in was very easy and quick. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious. They had forgotten tea and coffee facilites in the room which was a minor mistake id say and i never went looking about them. The meal included was was very tasty. Be aware there are supplements for most of the food on the menu, ranging from 2 - 8 euro. The breakfast was good aswell and there was a wide variety of choice. Overall we were very happy with our stay, and i would definately go back. It was clean, the staff were friendly and accomodating, and the food was good.
