Lovely spacious 2 bedroom suite - very clean and staff were friendly hotel was quiet off season but very relaxing- bar food very good. Breakfast could have been hotter

Dave scored 4 / 5 on 03/11/2016

Hotel was excellent. Room was very spacious with additional area with kitchen and dining facilities. The food in the bar was excellent also and all of the staff really helpful. Only issue was that we were woken on both nights by other guests returning home after nights out and the noise went on for a long time. Turns out it was a Hen night staying in the room across from us. Very noisy. Other than that it was a fin hotel with good facilities and nice food. Would return if could be guaranteed no hen night staying across the hall!

stayed here for 2 nights bed and breakfast and was very pleased with the rooms and breakfast, very clean and spacious rooms and staff were pleasant and welcoming, had meal in bar which was good. would like to stay there again, only downside is that is a bit far out from the town but we had a lovely view of lake from our window

We had a great 3 days in the Travel inn- Breakfast was delicious - good selection and hot food served to the table. Staff were friendly & helpful all the time. The room was large and comfortable with a wonderful view of the lake. We didn't avail of the spa facilities which were available at their sister hotel ( the Gleneagles ) but it looked great

Nice hotel about 5mins drive from Killarney. Only pity that they don't have a shuttle bus to their sister hotel The Glen Eagle so we could have used their swimming pool. Nice breakfast and friendly staff.

Stayed for a 2 night dinner b&b package on Thurs. & Fri. 14th. & 15th. May. Check in was efficient and friendly.Room was very spacious and very clean. Great water pressure in bathroom. 2 course dinner was great quality and very tasty. Staff were very friendly. Beautiful cooked Irish breakfast and good selection of cereals etc.Unfortunately on Sat. morning 2 waiting staff on their 1st day of work were on duty on their own and were not trained on what to do.Lots of tables were left uncleared while people were left standing waiting. We cut them slack but for foreign tourists it came across as very unprofessional. There is a beautiful walk through the park along the golf course to Killarney that takes 40mins.Taxi back is about 15euro.Beautiful path for a 10km round trip walk/run. Nice playpark and exercise machines on route to break the journey. Hotel was great value and will return. You get more than what you pay for.

On entering the hotel it looks lovely reception staff were very friendly and our room was fine and big. we ordered food in the bar and I found a small bolt in my coleslaw at first I thought my tooth had broken I showed it to the girl behind the bar and she didn't make any comment we got charged full price also. The meal in the evening in the restaurant was very slow and definitely had been kept under a heate3d lamp the chicken breast was hard and dry. At breakfast it was very busy and slow also the lady serving was very abrubt with us and actually asked the men in our company to stop messing with each other. even though the hotel was comfortable and reception staff extremely pleasant it did fall down on the food and that one serving lady

Lorna scored 4 / 5 on 06/07/2013

On approaching the hotel, it looked quite plain, but we were pleasantly surprised as the foyer was very welcomiing, with a living room feel. Our room was very spacious with a super king size bed and very clean. The view from the room was beautiful, looking out over the mountains, very pretty indeed. The bathroom was excellent, very spacious with .soft fluffy towels, tiled from floor to ceiling in the grecian style nad scrupulously clean. I have to say that the bed itself was firm but soft and made me want to stay another night! It is a mistake to underestimate the importance of a comfortable bed. We then went to the bar in the evening where the atmosphere was friendly and the highlight was three ladies singing in perfect harmony and playing traditioal music, they turned out to be sisters who lived locally! They were a real asset to the hotel as we did not have to get a taxi to find entertainment. Highly recommend. The breakfast was good quality and beautifully decorated. I will the looking for specials coming up in this hotel as I was very impressed.

Very Clean hotel with large family rooms and friendly welcoming staff. A little bit outside killarney but not a problem if your driving. Full irish breakfast is not included but this was not an issue for us lovely fruit pastries and cereals to choose from. Bar food was lovely and very reasonable. Would definetly stay again.

Dodger scored 5 / 5 on 03/01/2011

thought the hotel was lovely rooms were excellent and clean.it is a few mins drive into killarney town alrite if you were going on a night out it would cost ten to fiftheen euro in cab one way.the only fault i had was that booked the hotel few weeks in advanced in the mean time my partner broke his leg and we were given a room the furtherest away from the lift.when approached the reception to see if i could get a room nearer the lift we were told no straight off without even maken an effort and a lot of people had not checked in yet so they could have at least checked if someone who had not checked in had a room near the lift and swap with us but no was the answer straight off.

Tina scored 4 / 5 on 29/09/2010

Stayed in a basic double room, great value for money and the staff were the friendliest of any hotel I ever stayed in! Would recommend for trips to Killarney but not a romantic getaway. Also you need a car to get to this hotel as it's a little far from the town.

great hotel, would definetly recommend.

Joseph scored 3 / 5 on 17/07/2010

The hotel staff were friendly and efficiant, and we found the accomodation very comfortable. The evening meal lacked imagionation, basic food, for the price in a time where competition seems to be missing. I can understand why tea/coffee facilities were absent in the room. Room for improvment.

Raymond scored 4 / 5 on 30/06/2010

we did enjoy our stay very good music in the bar by young musicians.

Nuala scored 4 / 5 on 30/06/2010

Bart scored 2 / 5 on 30/06/2010

Pros: Clean rooms Nice view from the room Very helpful and nice staff Cons: Nowhere near 4 star standard Food was bland at best - same menu served each day of the stay plus you needed to pay extra for for full irish breakfast Definately not walking distance from the town - shuttles are only operating in high season Overall I feel you're better off booking a nice B&B in town

Grace scored 5 / 5 on 29/06/2010

the hotel was fantastic. food was amazing and the service greaat . all for very little money. i would go back.

Dave scored 4 / 5 on 29/06/2010

Very comfortable large room, newly fitted out, good location. Great value. I liked the veranda type window. Evening meal very good for the price offer. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast egg was not freshly fried and was hard and plasticy. Large bathroom, great powerful shower but let down because it only had a shower curtain Would go again.
